Chewy blondie bar cookies that pack well for lunch box treats and tailgates.

Ingredients
2 1/8cupsflour
1/2tspsalt
1/2tspbaking soda
12tbsbuttermelted, cooled (1 1/2 sticks total)
1cupDixie Crystals brown sugar
1/2cupDixie Crystals granulated sugar
1largeegg
1largeegg yolk
2tspvanilla extract
112 ounce bagpeanut filled M & M's
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325 and position the oven rack to lower-middle position. Line a 9x13 in baking pan with tin foil and spray generously with non-stick cooking spray.
Stir together flour, salt, and baking soda until blended. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar until blended. Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla. Mix until blended with the sugar mixture.
Fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture. Do not over mix.
Carefully blend 6 ounces of M & M's into the blondie mixture. Turn mixture into the prepared pan and smooth with the back of a spatula. Add remaining 6 ounces of
M & M's to the top of the batter. Press candies gently into the blondie batter.
Bake 20-25 minutes or until the sides of the bars are lightly browned. Do not overcook! Lift the foil out of the pan and let blondies cool completely prior to cutting. Store in a covered container.
