Flashback Friday: Christmas in July

Happy Friday! It’s officially July 1. I went REALLY far into the family cache of photos for this picture for you. Because Christmas in July, of course. Read on for our Flashback Friday Christmas in July!  

I have always enjoyed getting ready for Christmas in July.

Well, at the very  least I like getting our Christmas card photo taken and selected. Autumn is always so busy for us….we have important things like TAILGATING on our schedule!

See how smiley happy we three are posing in the hot sun? And, we are wearing denim in the sand. In Florida.

(Pssst…..denim + sand does NOT mix in Florida!) Especially when it is upwards are 95 degrees!)

This was our first (and last) beachy family picture.

And, it’s a good thing that the whole “let’s wear matching denim and white shirts for a family photo” style is no longer in fashion. Geezzz. What was I thinking?

Still, I love this photo and it became one of our favorite Christmas cards ever.

Now that it is officially July 1, I have my work cut out for me.What will I stage this year? The pressure is on, my friends! It has been increasingly hard to top Christmas 2008 when our card featured the three of us on the Great Wall of China in Santa hats, but hey…a girl has to have goals, right?

In the meantime, we are getting ready for the 4th of July and the end of Shark Week. Shout out to Discovery for moving Shark Week to the last week in June! Such a fan.

I think I am going to make some Perfect Potato Salad for our cookout on the 4th and start planning our Christmas in July photo!
