It’s the final day in our blog tour – so glad you stopped by! Did you see Brittany’s new e-cookbook over at Brittany’s Pantry? If not, back up and go take a peek! 🙂 Welcome to Totally Tailgates! I’ve got a family fave for ya today.8 bloggers join forces to share their favorite holiday entertaining and recipe ideas!

On New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, I like to have lots of little appetizers out for our family. We live in Orlando a.k.a. Bowl Game Central (there are 4 in town!) and New Year festivities involves football for us in some form or fashion.

My first bowl game was in January of 1995, when Alabama played Ohio State in town. My parents were on one side of the stadium (ROLL TIDE) and my in laws were on the other side (GO BUCKEYES). Craig and I were newlyweds at the time. We married the previous July, purchased our first home in October, and were blessed to learn we were expecting our precious baby in January. Yep, we were goal oriented! Sideline Sausage Balls for your football game day tailgate party!Sideline Sausage Ball are prepared in the traditional sausage ball manner using biscuit mix as a base. I love them because you can double the batch and freezer a few dozen for a later tailgate.

Make ’em now, and save a dozen for the Super Bowl! Brilliant, right?

Take It To The Tailgate Tip: Make Sideline Sausage Balls are directed, and bake. Place them on a foil lined cookie sheet (make sure they are not touching each other) and flash freeze until frozen. Remove, and store in a ziploc baggie until ready for use. Heat in a toaster oven or microwave prior to serving. Sideline Sausage Balls are a traditional football food favorite! The trick to flash freezing them is to make sure they stay separated during the freeze. When I make our Country Breakfast Casserole for holidays mornings, I like to pull out a few Sideline Sausage Balls for hungry grazers to enjoy while the casserole cooks and bubbles. Sideline Sausage Balls freeze really well for game day parties! When they are frozen, you can pull out as many or as few as you need for your tailgate.
Sideline Sausage Balls are a crowd pleaser for tailgates!Have a great New Year and a blessed 2017! Next on the blog tour, run on over and see Tamrya at Positively Southern ! Here are the other other six festive bloggers on the Reindeer Recipes Tour:
